Polar was given as a “gift” to someone in Alexandria, Egypt who really did not want her. He then travelled and left the dog with his cousin who did not want her either. Polar, to no fault of her own, became a problem and so they just kept her out on a tiny balcony without much care.
Polar was then ignored and left by herself all day and all night. With the help of animal advocate, we took Polar into our program, because at only a few months old, she needed more care and attention than what she was getting stuck out on a balcony all by herself. Thankfully she was pretty healthy when we got her and she is fully vaccinated now and waiting to be spayed within the next few weeks, as she is still young at only 9 months old.
According to the staff at the boarding facility, she loves dogs and considers herself the loving mother of all the dogs that are rescued. She loves to go for walks in the garden and is a happy little girl. She does have some food requirements because she has a reaction to carbohydrates so she is on a special diet. Other than that, this dog would make an amazing family member for anyone that has other dogs as she just wants to be with them. She would love a yard of her own and a Husky experienced family.
