Overcrowded and underfunded shelters face immense challenges in providing the care and resources needed to accommodate the growing number of stray dogs in their communities. These shelters struggle to meet the demands of proper nutrition, medical treatment, shelter expenses, facility updates, and more. Without adequate support, these innocent lives are at risk, and their chance for a better future diminishes.
On a monthly basis, Stray Dog Support covers the cost of the following in our partner shelter locations across the globe:
- Food for shelter animals
- Medicines for routine care and wellness
- Shelter Expenses. Shelters often struggle to meet the costs of maintaining safe and comfortable environments for the dogs. We assist shelters with rent, utilities, repairs, and improvements, ensuring that every dog has a secure and comfortable space to call home.
- Facility Updates. Outdated facilities can hinder a shelter's ability to provide adequate care. We ensure our partner shelters update their infrastructure, including renovating kennels, creating play areas, and improving sanitation facilities. These updates enhance the overall quality of life for the dogs under their care.
