Meet Kodma!
Kodma was from a litter of orphaned puppies who were rescued from the streets of Kolkata, India 2 years ago after their mother was poisoned.
Kodma was among a litter of 5 puppies (who we still have) who were thrown into a drain, wrapped in plastic. They were all taking their last breathes when thankfully a rescuer saw the bag moving and got them out in time. They were soaking wet, covered in mud and traumatized. Kodma had been in fostering in Kolkata until we moved her to one of our boarding partners in Delhi where she has been ever since.
As you can see, she looks absolutely amazing, healthy and strong and she is now ready for a family of her own. Kodma is great with other dogs and all people, including children! Kodma is a little shyer than her sister and does take a little while to feel comfortable around people. The staff at the boarding facility where she is staying says that she is "skittish and needs time to open up to trust people". Kodma would be looking for a patient family to continue to help her heal her trust in people and move slowly with her.
