Meet Lomosh!

Lomosh was rescued from the streets of Kolkata, India, unable to walk and covered in maggots. He was extremely emaciated and was close to death, as he was initially picked up and placed in a shelter, treated and THEN was going to be put back on the streets. There was no way this little small, weak dog would survive on his own, so he came under our care and we moved him to a foster home.

In November of 2022, we transported Lomosh by train to Delhi, so he could receive additional medical care as he was still having trouble walking. He had a luxating patella that did not heal right, but we are working on just strengthening his legs, rather than doing any surgery at this stage.

Lomosh is currently in one our boarding facilities called Red Paws Rescue where according to the staff he is doing well. He loves to spend time roaming around the facility soaking up the sun. The only recurring issue that he has besides his weakened legs is with the pads on his feet, so we have tried some different creams and now trying some aloe vera to see if that takes away some of the redness.

Other than that, Lomosh has grown into a healthy boy and we cannot wait to find this deserving boy a home abroad.
