Meet Molly!
Molly was being cared for by local street feeders in Jaipur, India as a one month old puppy. One day, she was found in terrible condition from being hit by a car, with both her front legs fractured. she was taken to the hospital. Because she was already weak, she stopped eating and had to be put on an IV and antibiotics for over a week.
Thankfully she recovered enough to be released from the clinic but with no place to keep her, she was placed back on the streets where she was originally found. When we were first contacted about her, she was living in trash alone. Both of her legs had been broken, and while one healed well, the other leg had a permanent deformity.
At first, we were going to get it amputated but being so small and young, they really tried to keep the leg. Now as she is older. She has adapted to her twisted leg, so we have not amputated it. She can run and play like a regular dog, so for now we won't do anything, but once we get her here to the U.S, we will get some opinions from specialists.
Other than her leg, Molly is healthy and happy. Molly is great with humans but is dog selective and prefers male dogs over female dogs. She would ideally do best in a home with another respectful, male dog or as a a single dog in the home. She gets a little scared with new environments, so her new owners will have to go slow with introductions and have patience with this sweet girl.
We are unable to say if Molly is 100% house trained, however, her caregivers states she is so she may just need a refresher when coming into her new home. Molly is not crate trained, but is working on it as well as working on her leash training.
