Omari

FEMALE | SPAYED | UP TO DATE ON VACCINES | APPROX. 2.5 YEARS OLD | APPROX. 35LB | HUSKY | GREAT WITH WOMEN | SHY WITH MEN | GREAT WITH DOGS | GOOD WITH KIDS | NO CATS | LOW ENERGY | VERY SWEET | LOCATED IN EGYPT

Omari was found absolutely terrified and weak on the streets of Alexandria, Egypt. She was completely broken and shut down, sitting there with her head down and just giving up on life.

We were able to get Omari off the streets and we immediately took her to the vet where she was given IV fluids and put on antibiotics. She was in very poor condition and was unable to stand. The vets quickly discovered that Omari had Pyometra, which is an infection in the uterus. Additionally, she had x-rays of her hind end done, as she was limping, and sadly it showed that she also has an old pelvic fracture that was healing incorrectly.

Omari was spayed to resolve the Pyometra, however, her old fracture is something she will have to live with for the rest of her life as surgery is not an option.

Omari is such a sweet girl, that loves attention and is very calm. She is good with other dogs, is shy when meeting men and it's recommended that she doesn't live with cats as she isn't the biggest fan. Omari can be leash reactive when meeting new people or dogs, as she still needs to build her confidence. She would do best in a home with a quiet family or single person in a quiet neighbourhood who can be patient with her.
