Meet Suraj

This beautiful soul was rescued from a train station in Kolkata, India—a place that was completely blocked off at the start of the pandemic.

Back then, no one was allowed in, and many stray animals trapped inside starved to death. But thanks to one of our street feeders, who got special permission from the police to enter the area his life was saved. Suraj would quietly come out and wait for his food—always alone. We believe his mother and siblings didn’t make it, and Suraj was left to fend for himself.

Fast forward to today, and Suraj is now safe at our boarding facility in Delhi. Suraj is described as a shy, cautious boy who slowly warms up—but underneath it all, he’s an absolute sweetheart.

Now, here’s the truth: black dogs like Suraj are often overlooked when it comes to adoption, but we think he’s absolutely stunning. Just look at that face!

Let’s prove everyone wrong and show the world that black dogs deserve just as much love and a forever home. Could that home be with you?
