Meet Violet

She was the little puppy that was rescued by in Amritsar India, after she was hit by a car and left for dead. What was incredibly heartbreaking about this case, was that it was all caught on CCTV. In the graphic video, you can see her getting hit, and the car just driving off and then you see her mother racing to her and running around frantic not being able to do anything. It was one of the saddest things I have seen, as you could also see Violet just writhing and convulsing on the ground and if not for the quick actions of rescuers, little Violet would be dead.

Violet suffered from a severe injury to her leg, so she had to undergo an emergency partial amputation. After she recovered, Violet was moved to Delhi where she has been in boarding.

Violet is now older and is doing well. She is spayed and vaccinated and loves playing with the other dogs at the shelter. She is a little hesitant and shy with people so we would really like to get her a home where she can feel safe and loved so she comes out of her shell. She is super sweet though.
